Roseneath Guest House Oban – 3-star Guest House in Oban
The warmest of welcomes awaits you at Roseneath Guest House Oban, home of Bill and Sarah Clarke.
Constructed in 1881, when Oban was expanding as a Victorian tourist resort, Roseneath was built as a family home for a Mr and Mrs Porter and their nine children.
Today the house stands as a testament to the fine craftsmanship of those days. From its solid granite exterior to the beautiful internal plasterwork of the ornate ceilings and splendid original Oregon pine staircase. However, there is nothing dated about the service, comfort and facilities offered to present-day guests.
Our passion for home comforts, relaxed ambience and hospitality second to none, together with breakfast tables laden with all that is good from Scotland’s larder is in the magic we weave.
Roseneath, situated on the lower hill overlooking Oban Bay, is in a quiet yet convenient location, close to the town centre, rail, bus and ferry terminals and all amenities including the Atlantis Leisure Centre.
There is ample private off-street parking for up to 8 vehicles at the rear of the property.
Menus are prepared using, wherever possible, fresh Scottish ingredients and we are happy to cater for vegetarian and special dietary requirements (though we would ask that these be highlighted at the point of booking).
Accommodation comprises 7 double and 1 twin room but we are pleased to welcome single travellers when availability permits. Three of the front-facing suites have the additional advantage of their own private sitting room adjoining the bedroom.
